54th World Medical Tennis Society Congress and Championships

Please read the following instructions carefully. Each player may enter a maximum of three (3) events.

• Each player may enter one Singles event, one Women’s or Men’s Doubles and one Mixed Doubles.
• Only physicians/dentists may enter any Men’s or Women’s Singles events designated as “MD”.
• Non-MD players (ONLY wives/husbands and life partners) may enter Non-MD Singles and Mixed Doubles, not Doubles. Non-MD player can play Mixed Doubles only with their spouses/life partners.
• Non-MD daughters/sons of physicians/dentists can only play a separate children’s tournament, not Doubles or not Mixed Doubles.
• Players are guaranteed two matches per each event.
• Winners report score. First match losers (in the 1st or 2nd round) report intent to play in the consolation tournament immediately after the match.
• Citizens of Russia and Belarus are not allowed to participate.
• Each official WMTS delegate is responsible for the qualifications of registrants from their countries.
• Before the tournament, each participant will be added to a special group in the WhatsApp application, where all the most important information about the tournament will be published immediately. Please install WhatsApp on Your phone.
• Courts surface: outdoor clay (main tournament), outdoor carpet (Consolation, Non-MD, children’s tournament), indoor clay, indoor carpet, indoor hard – in case of rain. Please bring 2 pairs of tennis shoes.

PRICES

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES: tennis tournament, scientific sessions, t-shirt, welcome reception, national evening, awards ceremony, farewell dinner, WMTS contribution fee

• Your participation will be confirmed via e-mail after receiving the registration form and registration fee.
• After receiving your tournament registration fee, the following cancellation charges will apply:
  • Before April 30 – EUR 50 / Person
  • May 1-31 – EUR 100/Person
  • After May 31 – no refund
• I declare that I hold or have held a medical license to practice medicine/dentistry.
• I am personally responsible for my health condition.
• I give my permission to publish photos taken during the event which might include me or any members of my party and permission to publish tournament results and scientific meeting participation including my name to be posted at the WMTS website.

Important information for those traveling by car: there is a paid parking zone near the tennis courts, Hotel Nadmorski and in the center of Gdynia from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday (payments can be made, at the parking meter in accordance with the price list: https://www.zdiz.gdynia.pl/parkowanie/fees/)

Gdańska Akademia Tenisowa [GAT] (ADDITIONAL COURTS)

5 outdoor clay courts, 2 indoor clay courts, sanitary facilities

Shuttle service will be provided for players between the main courts (Klub Tenisowy Arka Gdynia)/Hotel Nadmorski and the Gdańska Akademia Tenisowa (additional courts) several times a day.

PLAYERS REGISTRATION

Registration for the event will be possible from Saturday 19.07.2025 6:00 p.m. before and during the Opening Ceremony (Hotel Nadmorski). From Sunday 20.07.2025, people who cannot come to the opening will be able to register at tennis courts.

RULES OF COMPETITIONS

Balls: Tretorn Serie + Control (3 new balls for each main draw matches)

Scoring: Singles and doubles: 2 tiebreak sets + match tie-break (changing sides after 6 points in the tiebreaks)

Doubles are played with NO-AD.

Consolation matches: TBA

In case of exceptional circumstances, the scoring format might be changed in order to complete the tournament.

OTHER INFORMATION

The draw for the singles and doubles competitions as well as Sunday’s exact playing schedule will be published on Saturday evening on Opening Ceremony.

Nations Cup entries must be submitted on Saturday 10.07.2025 at the registration!

The Nations Cup will be publicly drawn on Saturday 10.07.2025.

Award ceremony for the Nations Cup will be held at the closing gala event.
